Originally, forming the northern limit of the space, enclosed by walls, occupied by the buildings of the priory (current location of the town hall, the parking lot, the old school ...), it is almost certain that " it has not changed place since its first installation and its dedication to St. Germain of Auxerre, at an undetermined date.
A special chapel dedicated to Saint Martin with a chaplain is created "in the church of Annet." According to information gathered in a 17th century act, it was given as " of the austel master of the parish church "
The parish church belonged to the Annetois, who were to maintain it. On the other hand, the chapel of Saint-Martin was the property of the prior and the monks who were in charge of it. The imbrication of the two, with the existence of common parts, gave rise to disputes whenever repairs were to be made in this part of the building.
In 1696, the chapel and the parish church were rebuilt. The church has retained the exterior aspect that it then takes to the works that were undertaken at the beginning of the 20th century.
During the Revolution, the church suffered greatly. The chapel of the "cydevant seigneur", with its "escutcheons", is destroyed, the furniture, the paintings, the metal grids, the silver objects are recovered and sold.
Various works were carried out during the XIXth century but it is the Abbe Folignier, who realizes the most important transformations. Appointed to the cure of Annet in August 1889, he immediately begins the process to realize projects entirely paid for by the funds he collects. He plans to enlarge the window that exists in the wall of the bedside, to place a canopy, after rebuilding the sacristy to clear the site.
In August 1889, work began. He then made furniture in Hungarian oak, always visible in the sacristy; a new altar called "gothic", made of hard stone and the stalls (originally installed on each side of the choir, they have been moved to the aisles since the last works).
In 1900, a rehabilitation of the vault of the nave is carried out and the wall of the west facade is rebuilt.
The pace of construction seems to have slowed down until 1993, when the total demolition and reconstruction of the west façade and the bell tower were due to problems of subsoil and soil stability.

A l’origine, formant la limite nord de l’espace, clos de murs, occupé par les bâtiments du prieuré (actuel emplacement de la mairie, du parking, de l’ancienne école…), il est à peu près certain qu’elle n’a pas changé de place depuis sa première installation et sa dédicace à saint Germain d’Auxerre, à une date indéterminée.
Une chapelle particulière des religieux, dédiée à saint Martin, dotée d’un chapelain est créée " dans l’église d’Annet ». D’après les informations recueillies dans un acte du XVIIème siècle, elle était donnée comme « estant au costé droit du maistre austel de l’église paroissialle"
L’église paroissiale appartenait aux Annetois qui devaient l’entretenir, par contre la chapelle Saint-Martin était la propriété du prieur et des religieux qui en avaient la charge. L’imbrication des deux, avec l’existence de parties communes donnait lieu à des contestations chaque fois que des réparations étaient à faire dans cette partie de l’édifice.
En 1696, la chapelle et l’église paroissiale sont reconstruites. L’église a gardé l’aspect extérieur qu’elle prend alors jusqu’aux travaux qui furent entrepris au début du XXème siècle.
Pendant la Révolution, l’église a beaucoup souffert. La chapelle du « cydevant seigneur », avec ses « écussons », est détruite, le mobilier, les tableaux, les grilles métalliques, les objets en argent sont récupérés et vendus.
Différents travaux sont réalisés au cours du XIXème siècle mais c’est l’abbé Folignier, qui réalise les transformations les plus importantes. Nommé à la cure d’Annet en août 1889, il entreprend aussitôt les démarches pour réaliser des projets entièrement payés par les fonds qu’il collecte. Il envisage, d’agrandir la fenêtre qui existe dans le mur du chevet, pour y placer une verrière, après avoir reconstruit la sacristie pour en dégager l’emplacement.
Au mois d’août 1889, les travaux commencent. Il fait ensuite fabriquer des meubles en chêne de Hongrie, toujours visibles dans la sacristie ; un nouvel autel, qualifié de « gothique », en pierre dure et les stalles (initialement installées de chaque côté du choeur, elles ont été déplacées dans les bas-côtés depuis les derniers travaux).
En 1900, une remise en état de la voûte de la nef est effectuée et le mur de la façade ouest est reconstruit.
Il semble que par la suite, le rythme des travaux se soit ralenti jusqu’à l’année 1993 qui voit la démolition totale et la reconstruction de la façade ouest et du clocher en raison de problèmes de stabilité du sous-sol et du sol.
