During 2013 festivities for Badin's Centennial Celebration, a time capsule was placed on the grounds of the Town Museum.

The capsule is dated to open in 2113 and was placed by the Centennial Committee. The stone commemorates the beginnings of the town in 1913 as one of the first aluminum plants in the US. Badin was a company town in the beginning and evolved into the quintessential country town.
