[DE] Hier in der Straße Thielbek 12-14 steht das letzte Fachwerkgiebelhaus seiner Art im Hamburger Stadtteil Neustadt.
Um 1780 wurde dieses Mehrfamilienhaus erbaut. Solche Fachwerkgiebelhäuser bestimmten vom 17. bis zum 19. Jahrhundert das Straßenbild der Neustadt. Jetzt ist es das LETZTE dieser Art im Stadtteil.
Die Neustadt war auf dem westlichen Vorland der Altstadt entstandnen, nachdem dieses 1615-1625 in den neuen Wallring einbezogen worden war. Ihre Mitte bilden der Großneumarkt und seine Umgebung.
[ENG] Here in the street Thielbek 12-14 is the last half-timbered gable house of its kind in Hamburg Neustadt.
Around 1780, this apartment building was built. Such half-timbered gabled houses determined the streetscape of the new town from the 17th to the 19th century. Now it is the LAST OF ITS KIND in the district.
The new town was built on the western foothills of the Old Town, after 1615-1625 this had been included in the new Wallring. Its center is the Grossneumarkt and its surroundings.
