FR Après la restauration de la toiture dans les années 1980, la commune réalise d'importants travaux de rénovation. Entre 2009 et 2016, les travaux incluent la réfection du dallage, le ravalement des façades et parois intérieures et extérieures, le renforcement du sol ainsi que la maçonnerie et le drainage. Les travaux atteignent un montant d'environ 484 000 euros, dont près de la moitié est financée par la commune. L’État, le conseil régional de Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, le conseil départemental des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence et l'Union européenne financent le reste.

C'est en présence d'une très importante assemblée d'amis et de bénévoles venus célébrer la fin des travaux de la chapelle Sainte Marie Madeleine du Vieil Aiglun, que le préfet des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence Bernard Guerin est venu féliciter le maire Daniel Jugy, pour les efforts de restauration réalisés depuis 2009. Il a tenu a rendre hommage à ses prédécesseurs, et en particulier à Yvette Matthieu ancienne préfete des Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, présente lors de la cérémonie, pour leur engagement qui a permis «à ce patrimoine religieux... un élément de notre patrimoine, exceptionnel, de pouvoir être découvert par tous». Pour sa part, le maire Daniel Jugy après avoir retracé l'historique du monument, s'est félicité de cette journée marquant «une mise en valeur d'un patrimoine emblématique qui doit être transmis aux générations futures»
EN After the restoration of the roof in the 1980s, the municipality carries out major renovations. Between 2009 and 2016, the works include the restoration of the pavement, the renovation of the facades and internal and external walls, the reinforcement of the soil as well as the masonry and the drainage. The works amount to about 484,000 euros, nearly half of which is financed by the municipality. The state, the regional council of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, the county council of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence and the European Union finance the rest.

It was in the presence of a very important meeting of friends and volunteers who came to celebrate the end of the work of the Sainte Marie Madeleine chapel of Vieil Aiglun, that the prefect of the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence Bernard Guerin came to congratulate the Mayor Daniel Jugy, for the restoration efforts made since 2009. He paid tribute to his predecessors, and in particular to Yvette Matthieu, former prefect of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, present at the ceremony, for their commitment has allowed "to this religious heritage ... an element of our heritage, exceptional, to be discovered by all". For his part, Mayor Daniel Jugy after retracing the history of the monument, welcomed this day marking "an enhancement of an emblematic heritage that must be passed on to future generations"
