A family tomb holds the remains of Sgt. William Lawrence. The tomb is a small building with faux Doric style columns on each corner, a pediment with a US shield and the name LAWRENCE in bronze letters inscribed above a small door. On the left side of the door is the inscription:

ENLISTED APRIL 1861
MASS. VOL. MILITIA CO. E.
5TH REG. SERGT. AND
COLOR BEARER
KILLED IN ACTION
1ST BATTLE BULL RUN
JULY 1, 1861.
WHATEVER BETIDES THE
COLORS OF THE 5TH
WILL BE FOUND IN THEIR PLACE
