William Saddler established this bakery in 1897 in the town of Forfar in the county of Angus. Four generations on it is still going, in the towns East High Street.
It is one of two bakers in the town that specialise in the Forfar Bridie, a cross between a pie and a pasty, with a shortcut pastry and a filling of meat and onions in the shape of a semi-circle.
The shop consists of a tea room with space for 48. It has children portions and high chairs available, along with wheelchair access and free wi-fi.
The bakery can be found only yards east of the town centre on the sloping high street opposite the town's steeple.
