The bronze plaque reads:
St. Thomas Church
"Rt. Reverend William Tyrrell, Lord Bishop of Newcastle, commenced negotiations October 1856 for one acre of land for the erection of a "Church Chapel for the United Church of England and Ireland".
"Land transferred 18 January 1861 fir the sum of 10/- "of Lawful British Money".
"First Church constructed of Slab.
"Second Church built 1870.
"Existing Church built 1916 [It had already been moved off of the property when I took the photos.]
"Donated by parishioners of St Thomas Anglican Church.
"A project of the Cundletown Historical Society 1999."
The Church has been moved to a neighbouring property, so that the local Coptic congregation could start with the building of their church, which was Opened in 2017.
