In 2016 the family of Paul L. Burnside donated $5,000 to the La Grange Railroad Depot Museum in memory of their father.
The money was used in the restoration of the yellow 1937 wood-sheathed M-K-T caboose (numbered 835). The caboose was built in the M-K-T (Katy) Railroad’s Denison (TX) car shops.
