An diesem Bahnhof kann man in die Mainschleifenbahn einsteigen. Bitte vorher den Fahrplan studieren, denn die Bahn fährt nur an Wochenden im Sommer und zu wenigen Zeiten. Fahrkarten gibt es im Zug. (visit link) Ungefähr 12.000 Personen nutzen diese sehenswerte Fahrt zu einem Ausflug

Von 1909 bis 1994 fuhren hier noch richtige Züge der Deutschen Bundesbahn, gegen Ende nur noch Güterzüge oder Auflugsfahrten. Die „Interessengemeinschaft Mainschleifenbahn“ konnte die Demontage der Schienen verhindern. Seit September 2003 ermöglicht sie diesen Ausflugsverkehr. 7 Bahnhöfe gab es urprünglich auf dieser Strecke: Seligenstadt, Prosselsheim, Untereisenheim (später Eisenheim), Escherndorf, Vogelsburg, Astheim und Volkach. Die Strecke ist eingleisig und ohne Oberleitung.

Formerly it was a standard train route, from 1909 to 1994. As the train route was closed, a private syndicate of committed people prevented that the tracks were dismantled and, since 2003, offer this train trips. Initially there were 7 train station on this route. (visit link)
