You are viewing an original Peter Toth Indian Monument that was dedicated on this spot July 4th 1978. Peter Toth, a Hungarian Sculpture has given a gift of one Indian monument to every state in the union, and fortunately the City of Iowa Falls was chosen for the Iowa site.
This monument was carved from a locally grown cottonwood tree and including the pedestal is 33 feet in height. The design is a Peter Toth original with the three disced headband and a neck broach similar to ones worn by the local Indian tribes.
Iowa Falls and the other 49 sites for Peter Toth Indian monuments can be eternally grateful for this gift from the gifted outdoor sculptor, Peter Toth.According to Wikipedia (
