A little digging on Findagrave turns up that the "S." in Sarah S. Thomas's name was "Stanwood", and she was the daughter of the Reverend Henry Stanwood and his first wife, Sarah. She married Bradley M. Thomas, which explains why this monument has two family names on it.
Buried here are the Reverend Henry Stanwood, his first wife, Sarah (Atwood), their daughter, Henrietta, their daughter, Sarah Thomas, and her husband, Bradley M. Thomas. The Reverend Stanwood's second wife, Sarah (Francis), is also buried here. Presumably, they each have a complementary zinc headstone with their names, but one for Bradley M. Thomas was not located at this time. The monument is impressive, with floral detailing throughout, and an urn at the top. "Thomas" appears below the panels on two sides of the monument, while "Stanwood" appears on the remaining two. Interestingly, "Thomas" is below the panel for Henrietta Stanwood, who never married. Above the panel is a lily of the valley, and the inscription is:
Henrietta B.
Stanwood
Died Sept. 30, 1861,
Aged
29 Years
Above the second panel are the superimposed letters, "B" and "T", for Bradley Thomas. Below, the panel says:
Bradley M.
Thomas,
Sept. 24, 1828,
Sept. 24, 1913.
Sarah S.
Thomas,
Apr. 18, 1828,
Mar. 22, 1915.
Continuing around, the Reverend Stanwood's side has his initials, "H" and "S" superimposed above his panel, which says:
Rev. Henry
Stanwood,
Died Nov. 7, 1883,
Aged
85 Years.
Finally, there is an anchor, suggesting hope, above the panel for the Reverend Stanwood's two wives, both named Sarah, and their panel says:
Mrs. Sarah A.
Stanwood,
Died June 5, 1860,
Aged 64 Years.
---
Mrs. Sarah F.
Stanwood
Died Feb. 25, 1881,
Aged 66 Years.
