At the base of the Memorial Clock is a square black marble plaque, which reads:

"In Memory of those who
    Paid the Supreme

Type of Memorial: Multi-War Memorial Wars mentioned (Multi-war only): The Great War World War Korean War Vietnam War [And other wars](sic) In Honor Of: All who Served/ Those Who Made the Supreme Sacrifice Marker Text: In Text Date of dedication: 25 April, 1923 Who Put it Here?: Residents of Myrtleford and District Description of Memorial: Square grey granite column on granite base, topped by a white marble sculpture of a Digger. Below the Digger's feet is a bronze laurel wreath. With polished black marble plaques on faces of the memorial, for the Great War, and World War 2. Two grey granite blocks act as gate posts for ornamental wrought iron gates, that have "Lest We Forget" in them.
