[GER] Entworfen und angefertigt wurde die Äquatorial-Sonnenuhr von der Industrie-Lehrwerkstatt Koblenz e.G. Berechnet auf den Standort Koblenz von Wolfgang Zack Mayen (Stiftung der ILW-Koblenz 1987)
Der Schatten des Stabes zeigt die Uhrzeit an. Die angezeigte Zeit (MEZ) ist um einen entsprechenden positiven oder negativen Wert auf der Achterschleife der in Höhe des Lichtpunktes abzulesen ist zu korrigieren. (Bei Sommerzeit eine Stunde dazu zählen) Den Lichtpunkt so ausrichten, daß die Sonnenstrahlen senkrecht durch die Blende fallen. Seine Höhe auf dem Ziffernblatt in Gedanken si weit nach links (Frührahr) oder rechts (Herbst) übertragen, bis sie auf die Ekliptik-Kurve trifft. In diesem Treffpunkt denke man sich eine Senkrechte, die nun die Stellung im Monat anzeigt. Das ist das Datum. Gleichzeitig ist damit der Bereich des jeweiligen Sternbildes ablesbar.

The shadow of the bar shows the time. The displayed time (CET) is to be corrected by a corresponding positive or negative value on the figure of eight loop which is to be read at the height of the light spot. (Add the spot of light so that the sun's rays fall vertically through the aperture. Transfer its height on the dial in thoughts si far left (early morning) or right (fall) until it meets the ecliptic curve. In this meeting point, one thinks of a vertical line that now indicates the position in the month. This is the date. At the same time, the area of the respective constellation can be read.
