La Pointe-à-Carcy is a commercial area that is used by cruise ships that are unable to use the much closer Old Port of Quebec. It is north of Quebec City. As the crow flies it is about .075 miles north of the funicular that connects the lower and upper parts of Quebec City but it's a much longer walk since you must first circle around the Quebec Marina. In our case buses were hired to transport passengers to the lower part of the Old City of Quebec. Cost was $15 for unlimited use during the two days we were in Quebec City.
Name of the Cruise Ship if one is in 'Port'.: Norwegian Cruise Line Gem
