Actuellement en restauration, l'Eglise paroissiale fut construite au quartier Saint Jaume en 1874, par l'Abbé Blanchard, missionnaire apostolique.

Elle remplace l'ancienne église située à coté du cimetière. Cet édifice à pour vocable Saint-Louis, comme l'atteste le vitrail situé au-dessus du portail.

Missionnaire apostolique: Destiné à propager la foi chrétienne. en grec Apôtre signifie " envoyé".
