Found in an alley behind LSG Motorsports - 6746 N 57th Ave - this beautiful mural was almost painted over by city officials. Quick thinking prevented that action.

This 12' x 12' spray painted mural began life as a grafitti artist's project. It sat undisturbed for quite a while before it came to the attention of Glendale Code Enforcement Officers, who demanded that it be painted over. A quick-thinking citizen researched the defitition of "grafitti", and discovered that if it was tagged with a name, it was considered grafitti - if not, it was considered art. So, the same quick-thinking citizen painted over the artist's name from the upper left corner of the painting, and just like that, it was art, and therefore, protected.
