After the renovation of the old cemetery, the most beautiful tombstones are preserved. The tombstones are placed around the side.

Karl Kollbach (born Oct 5, 1858 in Mülheim am Rhein, died June 27, 1911 in Remagen) was a German educator and travel writer.

It is a gravestone stone of 2 meters high.
An old bronze plaque shows his face and the text:

"He deviated his descriptive works from German land and the German people."

Description:
Kollbach worked as a teacher at the Oberrealschule in Bonn, before being appointed to the Kreisschulinspektor of the circle Ahrweiler in 1894 and moved to Remagen in the same year. In 1905 he became chairman of the embellishing association Remagen, which he directed until his death. In 1906 Kollbach initiated the founding of the association for the conservation of the Erpeler Ley, which succeeded successfully for the salvation of this Remagen opposite basalt rock. His son of the same name (* 1895) later founded his own publishing house. Karl Kollbach died in 1911 as a result of an Service accident.
