Cherry Creek Depot at White Pine Public Museum - Ely, NV - Relocated Structures on Waymarking.com

This Nevada Northern Railroad depot was originally located 44 miles to the north to serve the community of Cherry Creek which is about 4 miles west of the depot’s location on the railroad. It was move here to be an exhibit at the White Pine Public Museum.

The Historic Cherry Creek Depot was built in 1907 to accommodate passengers and freight of the Nevada Northern Railway. The Kitchen was added in 1917 but no further changes were made to the building. The structure included a waiting room in the front of the building with a ticket agent's office and baggage room. The Railroad agent also lived in a living room and bed room provided in the building.

The Nevada Northern Railroad closed in 1983 and the depot was abandoned. The depot was moved to the White Pine Public Museum on December 7,1991.
