The WPA construction at the Seminole County Fairgrounds consists of three animal barns (labeled 1, 2 and 3 on the aerial), and two exhibit buildings (labeled 4 and 5). A stadium is located north of building 3 and consists of a poured concrete superstructure and 9-tier stands.

Animal Barns #1 and #2: These buildings are virtually identical and constructed of uncut and uncoursed native sand stone. Each has 8 window openings on the west and 10 on the east. The openings have an top-hinged wood covering, which opens In. The tin roof is gabled. On the North and South of each building, there is a centered garage door, flanked by two pedestrian doors. All doors have been covered, with one of the entry doors on building #2 filled with cinder block.

Animal Barn #3: This barn stands north of Building #2, and is constructed of tooled and randomly laid sand stone. It has a gable roof, with 10 windows on each side, which have upper hinges and wood panels which open Out.

Exhibit Building #4: This building is 63 x 44 and constructed on uncut and untooled native sand stone. It has a barrel roof with stepped parapets on either end. Small windows on the upper wall are all boarded. There are garage doors on the north and south ends, and pedestrian entries on the east and west which have flanking pilasters and segmented concrete lintels.

Exhibit Building #5: This is a one-story building constructed of rusticated and barely coursed native sand stone. It measures 97 x 67 ft. The barrel roof has stepped parapets at either end. On the north and south ends are double-door entries flanked by stone pilasters. The entrances have segmented concrete lintels. High narrow window openings have been boarded. On the east and west sides are projecting entries with the doorways filled in with concrete blocks.

A small rock building is located west of Buildings 4 and 5 which might have been a rest room, and perhaps a well house.

None of these buildings appear to be in use at this time, although events, and the County Fair are still held on these grounds.

NOTE: Coordinates above are at the southwest corner of Building #1. The exhibit buildings are located within sight northwest.
