Long Description:
The railway bridge is an arch accommodation bridge that crosses the North Staffordshire Railway Companys former line that ran between between Stoke and Leek.
The line was used by BR freight trains to reach the quarries at both Cauldon Lowe and Oakamoor until 1988.

The track which crosses both the canal and railway bridges is also used as a public footpath across fields.

The railway track is still in place and plans are being made to re-open the line. (visit link)
