Die Botschaft repräsentiert die Republik Tunesien gegenüber der Republik Österreich, der Slowakischen Republik, Slowenien und Kroatien.
Als Ständige Vertretung bei den Vereinten Nationen und den Internationalen Organisationen ist die Botschaft ebenfalls zuständig für die Zusammenarbeit mit der Organisation der Vereinten Nationen für Industrielle Entwicklung UNIDO, dem Büro der Vereinten Nationen für Drogen- und Verbrechensbekämpfung UNODC, der UN-Konvention gegen Korruption, die Organisation des Vertrags über das umfassende Verbot von Nuklearversuchen, der CTBTO (Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization), dem Büro er Vereinten Nationen für Weltraumfragen (OOSA), Kommission der Vereinten Nationen für internationales Handelsrecht (UNCITRAL) der Organisation für Sicherheit und Zusammenarbeit in Europa OSZE, der OFID (OPEC Fund for International Development) und allen anderen internationalen und zwischenstaatlichen Zentren und Institutionen mit Sitz in Wien, die für strategische Studien und internationale Beziehungen zuständig sind, so z. Bsp. das ICMPD (International Centre for Migration Policy Development), das Österreichisches Institut für internationale Politik (OIIP), die IACA (International Anti-Corruption Academy) und die Organisation für Internationale Wirtschaftsbeziehungen (OIER).
Die Konsularabteilung der Botschaft deckt Österreich, die Slowakei, Slowenien und Kroatien ab. Sie ist ebenfalls zuständig für die Bearbeitung konsularischer Angelegenheiten, Interessen und Situationen tunesischer Staatsbürger, die in Bosnien-Herzegowina leben. Die Botschaft ist weiterhin befugt, Reisepässe und Visen zu bewilligen und auszustellen und den Personenstand tunesischer Staatsbürger, die im Amtsbereich der Botschaft leben, zu verwalten.
Die Sozialabteilung der Botschaft trägt dazu bei, die tunesische Gemeinde zu unterstützen und die Kommunikation und das Zusammenwirken mit verschiedenen tunesischen Vereinen besonders durch diverse Aktivitäten und Aktionen des tunesischen Kulturzentrums in Wien zu optimieren.

The Embassy represents the Republic of Tunisia in the Republic of Austria, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia and Croatia.
In its function of Permanent Mission to the UN and international organizations in Vienna, the Embassy is in charge of the cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the United Nations Convention against Corruption, the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), as well as the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) and all international and intergovernmental centres and institutions in Vienna in charge of strategic studies and international relations as the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD), the Austrian Institute for International Politics (OIIP), the international Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA) and the Organisation for International Economic Relations (OIER).
The consular section of the Embassy covers Austria, Slovakia, Slovenia and Croatia. It is in charge of the handling of consular affairs, interests and the situation of Tunisian citizens living in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Therefore, the consular section is competent to grant and issue passports and visa and to manage the civil status of Tunisian citizens living in the countries of accreditation.
The consular section of the Embassy supports and promotes the communication and synergy with several Tunisian associations, especially by organizing various activities and actions in the Tunisian cultural centre in Vienna.
