Near Lewiston, within the Emiquon Nature Preserve, run by the Nature Conservancy, is this sign with a You Are Here marker by the Lakeside Observatory.
The nature preserve is located along Illinois Route 78, a few miles south of the intersection of US. Route 24 and near the intersection with Route 9. There is a sign along the road for Emiquon Nature Preserve.
Lakeside Observatory is a large structure that has a roof and sign displays that describe the location and the natural things found there. Off one corner is this sign. On the right is a map showing the shoreline, and by the Lakeside Observatory text is "You Are Here."
The area is a good place to watch birds, including white pelicans.
