Gray High School was located at 3rd and D Streets in the northeast part of Idabel. In 1938-1939, a red brick gymnasium and classroom building were built by the WPA. The gymnasium is still in use by Idabel Middle School, however, it was rebuilt and reconstructed following a fire in past years. The extent of the reconstruction and how much of what we see today is original, cannot be determined.
The classroom building attached to the gymnasium is not in use today. It stands in its original placement, however, the windows are boarded up and some entrances have been bricked. It is a one-story brick school with triple windows and a flat roof. A metal siding has been added to the roof to conform with the rest of the campus buildings.
