Babe Ruth's first two major league home runs, 6 May and 2 June 1915, were hit off pitcher John Wauhop, 1884-1960, at the Polo Grounds in N.Y. Wauhop, playing under name of Warhop and "Chief" played for Highlanders, who became the NY Yankees, Sept. 1908-15, compiling record of 69 wins and 93 losses for .426 avg. Born on Powley's Ck., he played for Hinton C&O RR team.
