EN: The train station of Fürgangen-Bellwald is also also the bottom station of the aerial liftt, which leads from Fürgangen up to Bellwald. The building consists of two parts with gabled roofs of different heights. The exterior walls are wood, but I guess this is a cladding over conventional brick or concrete.

Fürgangen is a small hamlet, belonging to Bellwald, which lies on the mountain. The station was opened in 1915 by the Furka-Oberalp-Bahn, the narrow gauge line with a track width of 1000mm merged with the Brig-Visp-Zermatt-Bahn in 2003 and is now called Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn. The aerial lift to Bellwald was opened in 1956. The road to Bellwald, which crosses the tracks right at the station, has only been passable for motor vehicles since 1969. A 280-meter-long pedestrian suspension bridge, which leads across the Lamma Gorge to Mühlebach opened in 2015 just a few steps from the station.

The station is served by regional trains between Visp and Andermatt once an hour in each direction.

DE: Der Bahnhof Fürgangen-Bellwald ist gleichzeitig auch die Talstation der Luftseilbahn, die von Fürgangen im Tal nach Bellwald führt. Das Gebäude besteht aus zwei aneinander gebauten Teilen mit verschieden hohen Giebeldächern. Die Aussenwände sind aus Holz, aber ich vermute, das ist eine Verkleidung über Backstein oder Beton.

Fürgangen ist ein kleiner Weiler, der zu Bellwald gehört, das sich auf dem Berg befindet. Der Bahnhof wurde 1915 von der Furka-Oberalp-Bahn eröffnet, die Schmalspurbahn mit Spurweite 1000mm fusionierte 2003 mit der Brig-Visp-Zermatt-Bahn und heisst seither Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn. Die Luftseilbahn nach Bellwald wurde 1956 eröffnet. Die Strasse nach Bellwald, die gleich beim Bahnhof die Schienen überquert ist erst seit 1969 für Motorfahrzeuge passierbar. Seit 2015 beginnt unweit des Bahnhofs eine 280 Meter lange Fussgängerhängebrücke, die über die Lammaschlucht nach Mühlebach führt.

Die Station wird in beide Richtungen einmal pro Stunde von Regionalzügen zwischen Visp und Andermatt bedient.
