Godess of Flight - Yucca Valley, CA - Figurative Public Sculpture on Waymarking.com

The sculpture sits on a pedestal in the middle of the rose garden. The sculpture is of a naked woman, bending and arching her back backwards. She has a painted waist and there's a shawl (or hair) supporting her arch. The plaque reads: "Created during the summer of 1951 by the famous sculptor Antoine Martin. Presented to the Yucca Valley Community Center, May 15th 1974 by developer Norman J Essig. Erected by Yucca Rotary Club."
