Jabez Bruen was born 24 Jul 1750 to David and Phoebe Bruen in New Jersey. He had at least one son, Luther Bruen. He lived with his family, and after his death in 1814, his son Isaac managed the farm. In the will of Jabez Bruen (probated December 6, 1814; recorded Vol. 25, page 475; Hamilton County Court House) his name is spelled Browen throughout. He mentioned his sons, Isaac and Luther, and his daughters, Mary, Phebe, Abby, Libbe Lee, Sera Argo and Elizabeth Van Barclo. Jabez Bruen's daughter, Phebe, married Jonathan Watkins. Isaac's daughter, Mary, married David McCash.
