So you want to ride in an antique car at Walt Disney World that drives from land directly into the water? Meet the 'Amphicar,' the vintage car-boat that was manufactured in Germany in the mid 1960s. They are among the rarest cars in the world, with only an estimated 300 remaining of the less than 4,000 that were ever built.

And now Disney Springs has eight of them.

Operated by the new Boathouse Restaurant that recently opened at Disney Springs, the Amphicars experience is offered as a 20-minute, ride-a-long boating adventure, piloted by a trained captain who narrates the history of the Amphicar and points out landmarks at the ongoing Disney Springs conversion from Downtown Disney.
