From the NRHP: " Like the house next door at 221 South Glassell, this one is also fashioned in what was sometimes called the Princess Anne style. This too is a large, two- story house with multi-gable roof line and built on an L-plan. A large, wrap- around porch is present and the porch overhang is supported by columns with Corinthian capitals. The short leg of the ell results in a front-facing, gable wing with exposed beam ornamentation, a small vented transom and a large, three-part picture window with transom on the first story. The original wood door with plate glass window is still present." (
