The Ellen Hamilton broken column grave marker is near a grove of trees in the north first section bordering Montana Street.

The broken column appears to be made of sandstone and stands about 6 feet in height.

The Masons established Mt. Moriah Cemetery in 1877. This historic cemetery is one of three in Butte. Located in Silver Bow County the Mount Moriah Cemetery is very well maintained and has approximate 14,430 interments included are two famous interments: Albert James Campbell a U.S. Congressman and Lee Theophilus Mantle a U.S. Congressman.
