At the back of the historical cross in Königswinter two historical high water states of the Rhine are chiseled.
The marks show the state of the high water of the Rhine on the 3/30/1845 with 10. 16 m at the level recorder to Bonn and from the high water in the 2/5/1850 with 9. 89 m at the level recorder Bonn.
