Lintrathen is a rural area of Angus close to the border of Perth & Kinross. It is known for its loch, which is now a reservoir. The only sizeable community is the Bridgend of Lintrathen on the south side of the loch where the war memorial is situated.
It is a polished granite column on a hexagonal base, topped by a cross, and set within a kerbed and chipped area. The inscription reads as follows:
'In grateful remembrance of the men belonging to the Parish of Lintrathen who fell in the Great War 1914-18'
