[E] The Church of " Notre Dame des Cordeliers " of Laval is a church of Laval, built at the end of the sixteenth century and at the beginning of the XVIIth century. It was built between 1397 and 1407 by the clergymen called to Laval by Guy XII de Laval and his wife Jeanne de Laval, a widow in the first marriage of the constable Bertrand Du Guesclin. Before the works of the nineteenth century, it included only a main nave flanked by a unique collateral to the north, on which were opened 7 lateral chapels which were adorned in the 17th century with an extraordinary series of altarpieces thus undoubtedly largest set of western France. The church has six altars in marble with altarpieces of the seventeenth century and vault in painted panels scenes of the life of Saint Bruno and Saint Bonaventure. An altar of the same style occupies the whole width of the choir. It was listed as a historic monument by a decree of 15 February 1926
