A coin operated talking binocular on the top promenade, near to the Westcliff Railway. Cost 60p, or £1 for extended view (I think meaning time, not distance).
From here you can obviously see Bournemouth Pier and all along the beach, but on a good day you can see all the way to Hengistbury Head to the east, and Studland to the west.
