Since 1769 the later Sobieskiplatz was named after St. Johannes Nepomuk. His figure of 1824 (according to the inscription on the pedestal) under a canopy of metal, called "John with the Umbrella", was moved several times. Since 1964 he is standing in front of the house Sobieskiplatz 5.
