While this bridge over the Latrobe River is not the usual 'stationary bridge', the deck is supported by the truss framework, especially as it moves off the supporting ends/abutments.

It was built by contractor from Sale, Peter Platt, from the plans of architect and engineer John Grainger. Unlike most bridges built at this era (whose components were brought in from England), the cast and wrought iron columns and Truss brackets were made by the Tyne Foundry in Melbourne. "The 45 metre span bridge rotates horizontally around its central section. The swing span is formed by two wrought iron trusses, curved in the top chord with the deck supported from the lower chords." (visit link)

"Its test loading prior to opening (on 22 September 19883) was 240 head of cattle."

A short YouTube clip has good drone footage of this bridge incidentally highlighting the Truss nature of the structure of the bridge: (visit link)
