This memorial to the Upper Creek Indians who fought as allies with General Jackson at Horseshoe Bend against a rival faction of Lower Creeks known as the Red Sticks stands at the entrance to the Visitor Center at this interesting military park.

The plaque reads as follows:

"In memory of the soldiers and Indian allies who died in combat with the Upper Creek Indians during the Horseshoe Bend campaign in the Creek war of 1813-1814"
