Over 50 guitars are located in the Guitar Gallery: The Quest for Volume within the Museum of Pop Culture. One of them is a 1950 Fender Broadcaster guitar. A nearby placard reads:

This modest-looking number was the "Model T" of electric guitars

Released in 1950, Leo Fender's Broadcaster was the first two-pickup electric guitar designed to be mass produced. Features like a replaceable bolt-on neck helped keep the price low: an affordable $189.50. New components, like the micro-adjustable bridge, gave the Broacaster a great sound. Not much to look at, this guitar was sheer engineering genius and proved Leo Fender to be the Henry Ford of guitars.
