In der Dorfmitte von Wilsede steht, gleich neben dem Weg und direkt an einem Gasthaus gelegen, ein kleinen Messpunkt mit einer Messingplakette. Auf der Plakette sind die Koordinaten sowohl im Minuten/Sekunden Format als auch im UTM-System angegeben. Bemerkenswert ist hierbei, dass die Koordinaten im Minuten/Sekunden System auf eine Wiese etwas nordöstlich verweisen. Die UTM-Angabe hingegen ist punktgenau.
