This butterfly statue is located near the entrance to Morrison Arboretum and Botanical Garden, on Woolsey Avenue west of Morrison. It is located in a sculptured garden with ornamental grasses.
The statue is about five feet high. The butterfly is blue with orange, and the body of the butterfly is a nymph dressed in blue. (The definition of nymph in the dictionary is: "Any of the minor divinities of nature in classical mythology represented as beautiful maidens dwelling in the mountains, forests, trees, and waters.")
