Two small granite monuments stand at a small memorial area near the large forges at Tannehill Ironworks State Park.
The monuments read as follows:
"These flags are dedicated to the IRON FOUNDRIES and FURNACES that contributed to the Confederacy.
by the Graham Daves Society, Military Order of the Stars and Bars
Deo Vindice 22 Feb 1996"
and
"These flags are dedicated to the IRON MAKERS of the CONFEDERACY
by the Graham Daves Society, Military Order of the Stars and Bars
Deo Vindice 22 Feb 1996"
Blasterz wonder of these Military Order of the Stars and Bars guys knew that the vast majority of the ironworkers, quarry workers, stone cutters, and pig iron loaders were slaves.
