Der Buchhornbrunnen befindet am Adenauerplatz direkt vor dem Rathaus. Der Brunnen wurde von Barbara und Gernot Rumpf entworfen und gebaut und ist bei Kindern sehr beliebt, seitdem er 2001 eingeweiht wurde.
www.friedrichhafen.de: Der Buchhornbrunnen verkörpert ein phantasievolles Zusammenspiel aus Vergangenheit und Gegenwart, Geschichte und Mythologie, Heimatbezug und Weltoffenheit sowie Kunst und Technik. Zentral im Brunnenbecken befindet sich ein stilisierter Baum, eine Buche, mit großen Blattformen aus gewölbtem Edelstahlblech, die leicht und fliegend übereinander angeordnet sind. Die abstrahierte Form erinnert sowohl an den Baum selbst, wie auch an seine Früchte, die Bucheckern. Zusammen mit dem schräg im Brunnenbecken liegenden Horn ergibt sich das Wort "Buchhorn", der ursprüngliche Namen der Stadt Friedrichshafen. Weitere Figuren zeugen von der industriellen Entwicklung der Stadt.

The Buchhornbrunnen is located on the Adenauerplatz just in front of the town hall. The fountain was designed and built by Barbara and Gernot Rumpf and is very popular with children since it was inaugurated in 2001.
www.friedrichhafen.de: The Buchhorn fountain embodies an imaginative interplay of past and present, history and mythology, homeland and worldliness as well as art and technology. Centrally located in the well basin, there is a stylized tree, a beech, with large leaf shapes made of domed stainless steel, arranged lightly and flying above each other. The abstracted form is reminiscent of both the tree itself and its fruits, the beech trees. Together with the Horn lying obliquely in the well basin, the word "Buchhorn", the original name of the city of Friedrichshafen. Other figures testify to the industrial development of the city.
