This bolt and brass plug benchmark is located on what is now the Livingston voting office (formerly the Livingston Public Library) behind the Sumter County Courthouse in downtown Livingston AL.

This benchmark is somewhat confusing because it is listed in the National Geodetic Survey database under 2 distinct PIDs:

CO0051 PBM 24 USE monumented by the United States Department of Defense before its recovery in 1944 by the National Geodetic Survey

AND

CO1154 as Sumter County Survey Mark 1955, monumented by the US Coast & Geodetic Survey in 1955.
