Built in the 16th century after the looting under Louis XI, it symbolizes the rise of the city.
Its powerful 73-meter high bell-tower evokes the intensity of the religious struggles of the time. Inside, you will be struck by the volume of volumes, accentuated by the affirmed sobriety of its lines of a late Gothic.
Its furnishings and decorations, offered by the highest notables of the city, constitute the first works of the Renaissance doloise.
You will contemplate the exceptional large organ with 3,500 pipes built by the German Riepp, one of the very rare specimens of the XVIIIth century in France.
His consecration in 1951 also earned him the title of minor basilica. The object of an important restoration program over the last 20 years, it offers to the eye of the visitor all the brilliance of a jewel.
