Pluto is, in Roman mythology, the god of the dead earth in the depth of the earth.
In this function it corresponds to the Greek Hades.
Proserpina was a Roman goddess. She was the daughter of Jupiter and the Ceres and wife of Pluto, who took her to the underworld and became his wife. She is the ruler of the dead and queen of the underworld.
