Cyril is a town of 1045 residents, which was established officially in 1907, the year of Oklahoma Statehood. The first post office opened on August 9, 1906. This is an agricultural community and was along the railroad line. From the early 1920s to 1984, Cyril was the site of a large oil refinery which brought employment to the town.

This is a one-story red brick building on the north side of Main Street. The entrance is slightly recessed under a flat canopy and consists of double aluminum and glass doors, with two large display windows on the east, and a row of clerestory windows above.
