In und an der Warmen Pader, deren Quelle deutlich tiefer liegt als die der anderen Paderarme und deren Wasser deshalb auch im Winter deutlich wärmer ist, wuschen und bleichten die Paderborner Frauen viele Jahrhunderte ihre Wäsche. Daran erinnert das Skulpturen-Gruppe „Paderborner Waschfrauen“, das der Bildhauer Bonifatius Stirnberg schuf.

In and at the Warm Pader women washed and bleached their laundry many centuries. The source of the warm Pader was much lower than that of the other Pader arms and the water therefore much warmer even in winter.
