This is a fairly large church building for the community of Fernie. Fernie has a population of approximately 4,250 residents.
The Fellowship Baptist Church is in the picturesque Elk Valley. The church is primarily light colored horizonal siding with a dark brown contrasting roof. There is an interesting old bell with a pyramidal iron framework with a cross on the top.

Though the church was renamed Mountainside Community Church it still remains a Fellowship Baptist Church.
