City staff are recommending accepting the donation and installing the statue at Mitch Baran Park, close to the Walter J. Blackburn Memorial Fountain at the forks of the Thames.
The Blackburn Foundation is also donating $20,000 toward moving and installing the sculpture at the new location.
City staff say the cost of moving and installing the sculpture can be covered by the Public Art Acquisition Reserve Fund.
The staff report says there are no maintenance costs for the sculpture because of its aluminum construction.
A London Arts Council report says Lorcini is an award-winning sculptor, photographer and professor.
The Sentinel was created as a memorial to Walter J. Blackburn, former publisher of The London Free Press, and was commissioned by his wife, Marjorie Blackburn.
