In 1820 Wilhelm Ernst Graf zur Lippe-Biesterfeld (*15. April 1777; †8. Januar 1840) acquired the area within the monastery walls. He established an English park under inclusion of the ruin on the property.
In 1840 he instructed the construction of a mausoleum according to the model of a neo-Gothic forest chapel.
Above the door there is the coat of arms of the family Zur Lippe-Biesterfeld.
